Job Description

Make a real impact supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a contract assignment in a school-based setting near West Sacramento, CA. You'll work alongside passionate educators and therapists, helping make everyday academic and social activities more accessible to students with diverse needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a COTA
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy highly valued
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Familiarity with IEP documentation and implementing therapy plans is a plus

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the occupational therapist in delivering therapy services in accordance with each student's IEP
  • Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills within the classroom setting
  • Participate in assessments and collect data to monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy strategies into the school day
  • Help create and modify classroom materials and activities to promote student success
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records as required by district policies
