Job Description

Begin an exciting contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school environment. This full-time position, running from August 13, 2026, through June 9, 2027, offers the chance to work closely with students and educators, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You'll be based onsite at a vibrant elementary school, focusing on an engaging caseload of young learners, and playing a key role in student development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active COTA license in California is required
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting
  • Experience working with elementary school-age children preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Able to commit to the full contract duration
  • Comfortable working onsite
  • Willing to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as prescribed in their educational plans
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff to support student goals
  • Plan and implement activities designed to help students access their educational curriculum
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of services provided
  • Monitor and report on student progress, making adjustments as needed
  • Engage in ongoing communication with families and the multi-disciplinary team
  • Promote a positive, nurturing environment for all learners
