What Youll Bring:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure or eligibility in Illinois
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in educational settings
  • Familiarity with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills to connect effectively with students, teachers, and families
  • Adaptability and compassion in providing individualized therapy supports
  • Organizational skills for maintaining documentation and progress notes

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to help students achieve academic and functional goals
  • Support student participation in classroom and school activities by addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-care needs
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans tailored to each students requirements
  • Engage with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the school routine
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust interventions as needed
  • Contribute actively to IEP meetings and team discussions on student support
