Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Valid state license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, adaptable, and student-centered approach
- Ability to organize, track, and document interventions effectively
Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in supporting students therapy plans
- Implement interventions designed to enhance students educational access and participation
- Support students with fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Adapt activities and environments to foster student independence
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure integrated support
- Monitor, record, and report student progress in keeping with established goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
