This role welcomes candidates with either an Occupational Therapist (OT) license or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license, making it ideal for experienced professionals and passionate newcomers alike. Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license.
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other members of the student support team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus, but not required.
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and district guidelines.
- Assess and document students needs, abilities, and progress.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges.
- Consult with teachers and staff to support student access to the curriculum.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
- Manage a caseload that may include a variety of ages and developmental stages.
