Job Description
This part-time opportunity is ideal for a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with school-based experience, supporting an elementary caseload. Located in Torrance, CA, this contract position offers 20-25 hours per week with an immediate start and commitment through June 12, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to elementary students in a school setting
- Collaborate with educators and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and document student progress
- Participate in meetings and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and therapists
- Maintain compliance with school policies and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Active California COTA license
- Previous experience working within a school-based setting
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
