Desired Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is a plus, though not required
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families
- Compassion, adaptability, and an eagerness to help children reach their fullest potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy assistant services to students, focusing on individualized goals
- Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, educators, and other school professionals
- Implement therapy plans and document student progress in accordance with IEP requirements
- Support classroom participation by developing strategies to address sensory and motor needs
- Engage with families to foster understanding and carry over therapeutic activities at home
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
