Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Washington State
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration and documentation
- Comfortable working with students across diverse backgrounds and ability levels
- Adaptable, organized, and proactive in addressing students needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, adapting strategies as needed for optimal participation in school activities
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and data to ensure effective care and compliance
- Collaborate with educational team members and parents for comprehensive student support
- Help create engaging, accessible learning environments that empower students
