Step into an engaging role as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Surprise, AZ. This onsite contract opportunity is designed for professionals eager to make a difference alongside a skilled OT, providing crucial support during consecutive maternity leaves. With a schedule of 32.5 hours per week, you'll work closely with both students and colleagues, occasionally attending meetings before or after the regular school day as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

• Active Arizona COTA license required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable
• Flexibility to support varying start times (8:00am-3:00pm or 8:40am-3:40pm, based on school placement)
• Comfortable collaborating with Occupational Therapists and educational teams
• Ability to be present for meetings before and after school hours when necessary

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy to students following OT treatment plans
• Assist the supervising OT in implementing interventions and collecting data
• Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and state requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff discussions, and parent communication as needed
• Adapt quickly to changes in caseload or school environment, exemplifying reliability and professionalism
