Qualifications & Skills:
- Active COTA license required
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in providing direct occupational therapy services to children
- Ability to adapt interventions based on individual student needs and responses
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educational teams
- Willingness to travel between school sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy treatment sessions to K8th grade students as outlined by supervising occupational therapists
- Support students' ability to meaningfully engage in classroom activities through therapeutic intervention and use of assistive technology
- Act as a resource for teachers and school staff, offering strategies to support student participation
- Provide and maintain equipment or assistive technology needed for sessions and day-to-day classroom involvement
- Monitor and respond to individual student differences, adjusting intervention plans as necessary
- Collect and document data on student progress and therapy effectiveness
- Flexibly travel between assigned sites to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality service
