- Valid certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with educators, therapists, students, and families
- Organizational abilities to manage caseloads and documentation with attention to detail
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to meeting students' diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized and group occupational therapy sessions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student learning and participation in classroom activities
- Document student progress, treatment sessions, and report outcomes to the therapy team
- Assist in the development and adaptation of classroom materials or strategies to meet student needs
- Encourage student independence through functional skill-building and positive reinforcement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to treatment planning
