Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting childrens growth and development by providing itinerant occupational therapy services in preschool early intervention programs. This unique opportunity involves working throughout Carbon County or Lehigh County, with assignments varying across the school yearflexibility to support students from PreK to grade 12 is valued. Positions are urgently available, continuing through the 2026-27 school year and following the Early Intervention calendar year-round.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Active Pennsylvania Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • NBCOT certification number
  • Valid Pennsylvania Professional Personnel Identification (PPID) number
  • Experience or interest in working within preschool early intervention
  • Flexibility to transition to school-age caseloads as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Reliable transportation for itinerant travel within Carbon and Lehigh Counties
  • Commitment to in-person service delivery only

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions for preschool children as part of early intervention initiatives
  • Assess students needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and document progress
  • Travel between various educational sites as required by caseload
  • Engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote student growth
  • Adapt quickly to caseload changes, including potential assignments with older students (K-12)
  • Maintain detailed records in compliance with all regulatory and educational standards
