Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in California
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and implementation
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families of diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in the assessment and development of student-specific interventions supporting participation in academic and social activities
- Assist in documenting progress, collaborating on IEPs, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Engage with teachers and families to provide education and strategies that foster student success
- Adapt activities and materials to students individual needs and goals
