Job Description

Step into an exciting opportunity supporting middle school students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 20262027 academic year. This full-time contract role, located near Salem, NH, offers a dynamic school-based environment where you can make a significant impact on student growth and functional independence.

Youll collaborate closely with occupational therapists, educators, and fellow support staff to deliver direct therapy and assist in developing individualized plans. The contract begins as soon as possible and runs through June 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek scheduled Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

  • Valid COTA license in New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience working in a school, particularly with middle school students, is highly desirable
  • Ability to follow direction and adapt therapy strategies to student needs
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and school teams
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive, encouraging atmosphere for learners of all backgrounds

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services as prescribed by supervising OT for a middle school caseload
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and consult with the educational team on modifications or strategies
  • Track, document, and report progress in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in meetings and contribute insight to multidisciplinary planning
  • Support the development of students fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills to promote classroom success
