Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Active state license (or eligibility) for California
• Prior experience in school or pediatric settings is highly valued
• Strong communication skills to liaise with educators, therapists, and families
• Compassion, patience, and creativity in facilitating individualized interventions
• Ability to document progress data clearly and accurately

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills required for classroom participation
• Adapt materials and provide strategies to support student access and engagement
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic interventions into the classroom
• Monitor student progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist and educational teams
• Maintain detailed records and support compliance with school-based service requirements
