Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting K-12 students in a vibrant educational setting near Riverside, CA. This assignment, scheduled from August 2026 through November 2026with a potential extension for maternity leaveoffers the chance to make an immediate, meaningful impact during a pivotal time of growth for students.
As a valued partner on a school-based therapy team, you'll address typical COTA needs across the kindergarten through twelfth-grade population. This full-time, onsite position allows you to provide direct interventions, collaborate with other professionals, and support students' functional abilities within the classroom environment. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom for your convenience, with flexibility built into scheduling.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid and active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience or interest in working with pediatric and adolescent populations in a school setting
- Enthusiasm for supporting student independence and participation in classroom routines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and engage with diverse student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy programs designed in coordination with supervising OTs
- Deliver individualized and group interventions to help students meet their educational goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records as required by the district and state
- Communicate consistently with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Travel between sites may be required, depending on caseload distribution
