A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is needed for a contract position in Riverside, CA, serving school-aged children from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role focuses on early intervention services, supporting students' occupational therapy needs within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assistance to K-12 students in a school environment.
- Collaborate with licensed occupational therapists and educational staff to implement individualized therapy plans.
- Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes.
- Provide support to enhance students functional abilities and promote independence in daily school activities.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student assessments as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California COTA license is required.
- Experience working with children in early intervention or school-based occupational therapy settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques according to individual student needs.
