Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 20262027 school year. This onsite, full-time role in the Remington/Rensselaer, IN area offers the chance to impact students from PreK to high school by supporting their occupational therapy needs within an educational setting. Youll collaborate closely with a supervising Occupational Therapist, school staff, and a diverse caseload of students to help them thrive throughout the academic year.

Qualifications:

  • Current Indiana licensure and valid certification as a COTA through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA)
  • Prior pediatric or school-based experience is preferred
  • Reliable personal vehicle for travel between multiple school sites (mileage reimbursement provided)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement student-specific occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist (OTR)
  • Accurately and promptly complete documentation as required by the district and OTR
  • Assist with the setup and facilitation of therapy activities, use of materials, and overall service delivery
  • Collaborate with school staff and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to ensure students occupational therapy needs are met
  • Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by delivering prescribed interventions that foster student progress
  • Carry out additional duties and tasks delegated by the OTR
