Job Description
Step into a dynamic school setting supporting K-12 students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a full-time contract. This onsite opportunity, set near Rancho Cucamonga, CA, begins in August 2026 and is anticipated to continue through November 2026, with the possibility of an extension to cover maternity leave. You'll collaborate with educational professionals and directly impact students through meaningful, hands-on therapy services tailored to typical COTA needs.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid and current state licensure for COTA required
- Experience working with K-12 populations in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with educational documentation and goal tracking
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable, organized, and compassionate approach to student support
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students in achieving their educational and functional goals
- Document progress and maintain clear, compliant records
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support each students individualized needs
- Manage a caseload reflecting a variety of ages and abilities within the K-12 range
- Participate in team meetings and training as required by the school district
Your role will be integral in helping students thrive in an educational environment and enhancing their independence and participation. Youll be interviewing via Zoom, with available slots before June 22 or after July 13, and decisions will be made promptly following interviews.
