Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in educational or pediatric settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Ability to tailor interventions based on each students unique needs and goals
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group occupational therapy services to students as directed by an Occupational Therapist
- Support students in developing fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities
- Follow established treatment plans and adapt activities to maximize student participation
- Assist with evaluating student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and legal standards
- Collaborate with the broader team to contribute insights for IEP meetings and help integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines
