Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience in school settings, particularly working with K-8th grade
  • Strong communication skills to engage with students, educators, and families
  • Ability to recognize and adapt to individual student differences during therapy
  • Comfortable assisting with the collection and documentation of treatment data
  • Willingness to travel between local school sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy treatment sessions to students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Act as a resource to teachers and staff in implementing therapeutic strategies in the classroom
  • Prepare and manage assistive devices and adaptive equipment for student use
  • Monitor and adjust therapy approaches based on student response
  • Support quality data collection and progress tracking for each student on your caseload
