Job Description
A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to provide support within K-8 educational settings in Phoenix, AZ. This contract role involves delivering therapy treatment sessions and serving as a therapeutic resource for teachers and staff across multiple school sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy treatment sessions and therapeutic support for students in grades K-8.
- Collaborate with teachers and educational personnel to facilitate effective therapy interventions.
- Supply appropriate equipment and assistive technology to support student participation in therapy and classroom activities.
- Observe and adjust therapy services to accommodate individual student responses and needs.
- Assist with data collection to track student progress.
- Travel between assigned school locations to deliver services as required.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid COTA license.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in grades K-8.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy interventions applicable in educational settings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and staff.
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as assigned.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
