Job Description

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) School-Based Phoenix, AZ

Four full-time positions are available for certified occupational therapy assistants in a school-based setting within Phoenix, AZ. These contract roles offer guaranteed 35 hours per week with an immediate start, extending through May 27th, 2026.

Location Details:

  • Two COTAs based in Phoenix, AZ 85017
  • Two COTAs based in Phoenix, AZ 85033

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to school-aged students, primarily kindergarten through eighth grade
  • Implement treatment plans developed under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists
  • Complete timely and accurate daily therapy documentation
  • Assist with supervising the occupational therapy caseload as needed
  • Collaborate with on-site OTs and special education teams to support student IEP goals and attend team meetings
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards within the school environment
  • Travel between multiple school sites may be required, with travel time compensated as applicable

Caseload and Support:

  • Manage caseloads customized to candidate experience and fit, typically involving multiple school assignments
  • Benefit from district-provided supervision for COTAs
  • Support with IEP documentation and progress tracking is available

Qualifications:

  • Active Arizona COTA license
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • School-based experience is preferred but not required; new graduates encouraged to apply with supervision support provided
