Make a meaningful impact supporting K-8th grade students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a full-time contract near Peoria, AZ. This engaging position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic school setting and making a difference every day.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid COTA license required
- Experience or interest in working within school environments (K-8 population)
- Strong understanding of therapeutic supports for children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
- Organized, adaptable, and able to work independently
- Willingness to travel between assigned school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy treatment sessions tailored to students needs
- Serve as a resource for teachers and educational teams, supporting inclusive education practices
- Facilitate and provide equipment or assistive technology to enable student participation in therapies and classroom activities
- Monitor, recognize, and respond to individual student differences, modifying interventions as needed
- Collect data and assist in progress monitoring
- Support a positive and encouraging learning environment across multiple sites, as assigned
