Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students from PreK through 8th grade as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming school year, 2026-2027. This position offers the opportunity to work 38 hours per week in a collaborative educational environment near Peoria, AZ. As part of your daily responsibilities, youll work closely with students, educators, and other related service providers to optimize each childs educational experience and support their development.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona COTA license
- IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Experience in pediatric settings, particularly within schools, is highly preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of approximately 60-70 students, including both direct and consult-only support
- Conduct therapy sessions and assessments tailored to individual student goals
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to create and implement intervention strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills for classroom success
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing individualized plans
