Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Deliver direct therapy to students individually and in group settings
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families to maximize student achievement
- Adapt activities and materials for varied student abilities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal planning as needed
