Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois COTA license required
  • Previous experience working with middle school students preferred
  • Familiarity with supporting both general education and special education settings
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in grades 6-8 across a caseload of approximately 30 students
  • Assist in the implementation of individual educational plans (IEPs) and collaborate on student progress
  • Support students in developing skills for academic participation, social interaction, and daily living
  • Document and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records per school protocols
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, related service staff, and families to promote student achievement
  • Contribute to a positive, responsive environment for all students
