Job Description

This contract role places you in a collaborative, dynamic educational setting, working alongside experienced therapists and passionate educators to foster student independence, participation, and well-being.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Valid state license or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Creative problem-solving approach and adaptability in meeting diverse student needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions as directed by an Occupational Therapist
  • Support students development of functional skills needed for success at school
  • Assist with the preparation and adaptation of instructional materials and equipment
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and parent conferences as needed
  • Contribute to a positive classroom environment and promote inclusion
