As a contract COTA, you'll collaborate closely with educators and therapists to deliver occupational therapy services to students, empowering them to participate fully in their learning and daily activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with valid state credentials
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Adaptability and creativity in developing interventions
• Organized approach to caseload management and documentation
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and document progress toward therapy goals
• Support students in developing or enhancing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
• Participate in team meetings, providing valuable input on student needs and progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student success
• Assist with screenings and assessments as needed
