Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based therapy preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and special education procedures
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseload and work independently
- Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt activities to promote student participation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to ensure effective strategies in the classroom
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports
- Assist in developing and utilizing assessment materials for student evaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input to help shape student goals
