What were looking for:
- Active COTA certification and licensure in the state of Kansas
- Previous experience providing Occupational Therapy services within a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to implement treatment plans and document progress under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for students of varying abilities
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the delivery of occupational therapy interventions and adapting strategies as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Helping students work toward IEP goals, such as fine motor skills, self-care, sensory processing, and classroom participation
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and collaborating with the educational team to ensure holistic support
- Participating in meetings and sharing observations to contribute to personalized interventions
- Supporting students in developing confidence and independence through creative and effective therapeutic activities
