Make a meaningful impact by supporting the youngest learners as a dedicated Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working with pre-school students aged 3-5. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule over five days per week, allowing you to focus on early intervention and help children achieve their developmental milestones in a nurturing educational setting near Northampton, PA.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania OT or COTA license required
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Comfort working with pre-school aged children (3-5 years old)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement individualized plans
- Knowledge of best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to pre-school students in a school environment
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student independence and participation
- Assess students, develop treatment goals, and document progress
- Deliver services per IEP requirements and maintain accurate records
- Contribute to team meetings and consult with staff regarding adaptations and strategies
