Take on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a dynamic district-wide school setting. This full-time role focuses on supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade, offering vital occupational therapy services to help them thrive both academically and functionally. The assignment is set to begin on August 27, 2026the first day of schooland will span approximately 12 weeks to cover an FMLA leave, with possibility for extension.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license (CT DPH License and NBCOT Exam completion required)
- Reliable personal transportation
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Strong background working with diverse student populations across a range of ages and needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Support and facilitate student participation in school activities through targeted occupational therapy interventions
- Accurately document sessions, ongoing progress, and communication with families and educational teams
- Serve all grade levels and educational buildings in the district (Pre-K12), adapting interventions to meet a wide variety of developmental and functional needs
- Communicate effectively with other educational professionals to ensure cohesive support and goal attainment for students
- Maintain compliance with district and state guidelines and uphold ethical standards within your practice
