Key Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Illinois required
• Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with students of diverse backgrounds
• Proficiency in implementing therapy activities under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Excellent organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist Occupational Therapist in providing evidence-based interventions for students with varying abilities
• Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) within the classroom and therapy setting
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
• Monitor and document student progress toward occupational therapy goals
• Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings to discuss student outcomes
• Adapt activities and resources to support individual student needs
