Make a significant impact supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic K12 educational setting. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to collaborate with diverse school teams and serve students across Hendry County. Youll play a vital role in fostering student independence, participation, and achievement within multiple school environments.
Enjoy the variety and flexibility of traveling to different campus sites throughout the county, with assignments conveniently determined over the summer. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive on building relationships and adapting to new challenges in vibrant school communities.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Florida COTA license required
- Prior experience in K12 schools strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule and adapt to new school environments
- Comfortable with county-wide travel to multiple assigned school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with supervising Occupational Therapists and educational staff to implement and carry out individualized student treatment plans
- Deliver therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Collect data and track student progress, providing regular updates to school teams
- Support staff training and collaborate in developing classroom adaptations
- Communicate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
