Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) for Kansas
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage caseloads, document progress, and adapt interventions for diverse student needs
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education processes is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing therapeutic activities and interventions tailored to student needs
- Support students with fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills within the classroom and therapy settings
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of sessions and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input to education teams
- Provide in-the-moment support to teachers, parents, and staff to ensure consistency across environments
