Key Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and adapt interventions in a school environment
• Organizational skills for effective scheduling, planning, and record keeping

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized and group occupational therapy sessions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Assist in evaluating students motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities in classroom and school settings
• Support the development and execution of treatment plans aligned with students educational goals
• Document progress, update records, and contribute meaningful input for IEP meetings
• Educate staff and caregivers on strategies and accommodations to support students success and independence
• Foster a positive, motivating, and inclusive atmosphere for all students
