Job Description

This opportunity seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide support services in an elementary school setting serving students in grades K-5. The role is onsite in Lowell, MA, and offers a contract duration for the current school year (CSY). The position requires 20-30 hours per week, allowing for a balanced schedule while making a meaningful impact in the academic and developmental progress of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy interventions tailored to the needs of K-5 students.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student goals.
  • Monitor and document student progress in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing and school regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and with attention to detail.
