A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with school-based experience to support elementary-aged students in a part-time, contract role. This position involves working directly onsite at an elementary school located in Los Angeles, CA, providing therapy services that enhance students' developmental and functional skills within the academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to an elementary caseload
- Collaborate with educators and school personnel to implement therapy interventions that support student learning and participation
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California is required
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting is essential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage an elementary student caseload effectively
Position Details:
- Part-time schedule, 20-25 hours per week
- Contract position with a start date ASAP
