Job Description

This part-time opportunity in Long Beach, CA, offers the chance to work with an elementary school caseload in a supportive school environment. The position requires 20-25 hours per week, starting ASAP, and extending through June 12, 2026. This contract role involves providing occupational therapy services onsite at an elementary school, supporting the developmental and functional needs of young students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering occupational therapy interventions tailored to the needs of elementary-aged students
  • Collaborating with educators and support staff to facilitate student progress
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Participating in school meetings and contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Managing a focused caseload consistently throughout the contract period

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Current, active occupational therapy assistant license in California
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based occupational therapy settings
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students and school teams effectively
  • Flexibility and reliability to fulfill scheduled hours onsite

This role requires the candidate to be physically present at the school site and offers the benefit of working within a collaborative educational setting. The ability to participate in a Zoom interview is required as part of the hiring process.
