Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active COTA certification and eligibility to practice in Maryland
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and school therapy models
- Collaborative spirit and passion for working with students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy support to students according to their individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists and broader educational teams to optimize care and support
- Travel between assigned school sites within the district as required
- Maintain accurate records, complete IEP documentation, and participate in related meetings
- Utilize available training and resources to stay current with district procedures and therapy techniques
- Adhere to all administrative and district requirements, including attending team meetings and complying with fingerprinting protocols
