As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), youll bring your skills to multiple campuses, making a difference in students daily lives and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.

What youll need to succeed:

• Current Florida COTA license in good standing
• Comfort working in various school environments and grades, K12
• Ability and willingness to travel across the county to assigned school sites (assignments set in advance)
• Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff
• Self-motivation, flexibility, and strong organizational skills

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as prescribed in their IEPs
• Support students in meeting educational and functional goals, focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
• Document session notes, progress reports, and participate in team meetings as required
• Adapt intervention plans under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist and contribute insights to student goal development
• Travel to and efficiently manage a caseload across multiple schools in the county
• Foster a positive, supportive environment for all students
