Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in K12 settings as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a school-based contract position. In this dynamic role, youll make a meaningful difference by providing essential occupational therapy services to children across multiple school sites throughout the region.
This position requires a skilled and flexible COTA who thrives working with students across various grade levels and locations. Youll collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff, helping each student reach their full potential and succeed in the classroom environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and unrestricted Florida COTA license required
- Preferred experience in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to travel between multiple sites (schools assigned prior to the academic year)
- Adaptable attitude and commitment to supporting diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K12 students according to IEP and school requirements
- Implement therapy plans developed in collaboration with supervising occupational therapists
- Accurately document student progress and maintain records as required by school and legal standards
- Work with educational teams and families to ensure coordinated care and optimum learning environments
- Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes each students independence and participation
