Qualifications & Experience:
- Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid state license (or eligibility) to work as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but similar clinical backgrounds considered
- Strong communication and organization skills
- A collaborative, flexible approach to working within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate, patient, and creative outlook
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as prescribed by their IEP or 504 plan
- Assist with assessments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt activities and environments to help students achieve functional and educational goals
- Support classroom staff through training, resources, and collaboration
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere to empower students of varying abilities
