Step into an impactful role supporting students across elementary settings in the Joliet, IL area as a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This contract opportunity starts as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference in PreK-8th grade classrooms. You'll work onsite within multiple elementary buildings, collaborating with teams serving students with a wide range of diagnoses.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois COTA license required
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric COTA roles is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently and adapt to dynamic student needs
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Willingness to travel between Lockport and Crest Hill (locations within Will County)
• Detail-oriented with dedication to delivering effective, compassionate care

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, according to IEP goals and district guidelines
• Assist the Occupational Therapist in assessments, documentation, and intervention planning
• Support students access to curriculum and school activities by promoting functional independence
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and therapy team to foster student growth
