Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role working with students in grades PreK-8, with a primary focus on grades 4-8. Support four school locations near Joliet, IL, during the 26/27 school year in a collaborative and student-centered environment. Youll work 30 hours across four days each week, making a meaningful difference through occupational therapy services tied to students educational goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Illinois COTA license (required)
  • Experience or training in a school-based COTA setting is strongly preferred
  • Comfort working with PreK-8th grade, including a primary caseload of grades 4-8
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to support multiple school sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students across four school sites, primarily grades 4-8
  • Collaborate with educators and school teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document and track student progress toward therapy goals in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Provide consultation and strategies to staff and families to support student success in the classroom setting
  • Engage in ongoing communication with supervising occupational therapists and school staff
