Essential Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

  • Ability to adapt strategies for various types of disabilities and age ranges
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Support students in achieving their individualized education goals through therapeutic activities and adaptations
  • Document student progress and communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and therapists
  • Travel between schools, working with students across multiple campuses and varying age groups as assigned
  • Enable students participation in the classroom and school environments by addressing sensory, motor, and self-care needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions and solutions
