Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting Pre K-12th grade students by serving as a floater Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming school year! This position offers the chance to make a difference across multiple educational sites, assisting students development and education in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Your assignment will span from September 3, 2026, to June 24, 2027, with approximately 29 hours per weekpotentially increasing to 30 hours, depending on your preference. As a floater COTA, youll enjoy a dynamic schedule, rotating between three different school locations each week. Exact caseload numbers will be confirmed closer to the start date, and youll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and dedicated professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Flexibility to work with students from Pre K through 12th grade
  • Ability to thrive while adapting to a floating schedule across different sites
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of individual education plans (IEPs) and special education processes is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver indirect and direct occupational therapy services under OT supervision
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet each students needs
  • Provide therapy sessions, document progress, and support IEP implementation
  • Adjust interventions and strategies to foster student engagement and achievement
  • Move between assigned schools and maintain strong communication with staff at each location
