Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Active state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a COTA
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet students diverse needs
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist
• Support students in achieving functional goals related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational environment
• Collect data, monitor student progress, and document interventions compliant with school guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
• Assist in educating staff and families on strategies to support student success
