Bring your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to a dynamic educational setting serving K-8th grade students. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to directly support students and collaborate with dedicated school staff in a contract role near Goodyear, AZ.
In this position, you'll play an essential role in helping students thrive by delivering therapy treatment sessions tailored to individual needs. Your skills will enhance students participation in both treatment sessions and classroom activities, including the integration of equipment or assistive technology as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Current COTA license required
- Experience working with children in educational settings preferred
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Willingness to travel between assigned school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy sessions and therapeutic support for K-8th grade students
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for teachers and educational staff on occupational therapy strategies
- Implement and monitor use of assistive equipment and technology for student support
- Adapt services to meet the unique responses and needs of individual students
- Accurately assist in data collection and documentation related to therapy progress
- Travel between multiple school sites as needed
